WHAT IS RELAY?
Relay for Life is an organized, overnight community fund-raising walk where teams of people camp out around a track, with members of each team taking turns walking around the track. At Taylor County's Relay for Life, the community comes together to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much. The funds raised by the event truly make a difference in the fight against cancer - just ask one of the nearly 14 million cancer survivors who will celebrate another birthday this year!
Are you a cancer survivor? Be sure to let us know so we and the rest of Taylor County can celebrate with you!
Being a part of Relay for Life is easy and fun! With our on-line donation processing, giving towards this amazing event has never been easier. Or, get your hands even more dirty by signing up with a team - or starting your own! Whichever you choose, there are plenty of resources to help you get the ball rolling to make an impact and help us get one step closer to a cure!
Whether or not you are on a team, there are still countless ways to get involved with Taylor County's Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society. Below are just a few of the ways that you can help current survivors and help in the fight against cancer.
• Check out our calendar for upcoming fund-raising events and Relay activities that you can get involved with or support.
• Have an old cell phone? Contact us to donate it, with proceeds going directly towards our fund-raising goal.
• Consider purchasing an advertisement in our Relay for Life event programs for your business or to honor a loved one.
